Children's Experimental Theatres continues registration for its Conservatory for young people grades K-12 at the Indoor Forest Theatre in Carmel. Young people interested in a performance-based program in classical theatre arts meet weekly throughout the school year. All grades meet on Saturdays, and grades 2-12 also meet one afternoon per week for rehearsals once a show is cast. The CET Conservatory Program, September through June, covers all aspects of theatre, in classes introducing young people to body work, speech, stage combat, fencing, movement, improvisation, period history and cultures, music and voice, stage literature and language, and much more. Register now for SoDA, Musical Theatre instruction in Carmel. After-school classes are available for children ages 7 and up. All classes are held at Seccombe Hall, 9th and Lincoln, Carmel. Older teen, adult and private classes are also available. Classes vary by student ages, ability and creative material and may be repeated several times. Private instruction is available. Registration continues for fall classes at the Carmel Academy of Performing Arts, Mission and 8th in Carmel. The Academy's program includes classes for toddlers through adults and offers classes in creative movement, ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, hip hop, acrobatics, modern, early childhood arts program for pre-kindergarten-aged students and private music instruction.
